KUWAIT: The fifth session of the Kuwaiti-Jordanian Higher Joint Committee convened in Kuwait on Wednesday, co-chaired by Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the session concluded with the signing of six cooperation agreements, memoranda of understanding, and executive programs aimed at expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

Minister Al-Yahya opened the session by conveying the greetings of Kuwait—its leadership, government and people—to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its citizens. He praised the longstanding historical ties and fraternal bonds uniting the two nations. The committee’s discussions focused on bolstering cooperation in key fields, including the economy, investment, culture, tourism and other strategic sectors.
Both sides expressed their mutual commitment to enhancing coordination and elevating bilateral relations to broader and more comprehensive levels. The meeting also addressed recent developments in the regional and international arenas. The two sides exchanged views on pressing issues, notably the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and discussed efforts to confront regional challenges through joint cooperation and coordination.— KUNA
