KUWAIT: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah chaired on Sunday a meeting of the coordinating committee tasked with following up the country’s infrastructure and transportation system projects.
The meeting discussed effective oversight tools aimed at enhancing road safety, reducing burdens and costs on infrastructure, alleviating pressure on the road network, ensuring optimal use, reducing material and human losses, and curbing customs evasion at land, sea, and air ports.
His Highness the Prime Minister stated that this approach falls within the framework of the state’s relentless efforts to protect national infrastructure and ensure the sustainable and efficient operation of its facilities, achieving a balance between facilitating transportation and trade.
The meeting was held in Bayan Palace, during which the committee reviewed several housing developments and their progress. Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Abdulaziz Al-Dekheel and Minister of Public Works Dr Noura Al-Mashaan, in addition to a number of senior officials attended the meeting. – KUNA
